Artist Statement
The actors have left, the stages they installed are surrendered to the forces of nature and time. Observing the interaction between human and nature, and the order imposed on the landscape, through photography, the relationship is re-ordered. And again through photography, the stage is once more emptied – of overt meaning. Applying a detached and reductive language, photographic practice becomes a tool of defamiliarization and dislocation.Blurring the line between photography, ready-made art and installation, without manipulation, how far can reality be stretched?
