Black and White Studies
Introduction
These three images are part of an ongoing series of black and white studies for photo engraved copper plates. The plates I then use to print from. I display the original c-prints, copper printing plates and prints all side by side. They use a paired down formal language to investigate the relationship of ink, light, shadow, density and reflective qualities of each material. I am interested especially in how each medium relates to issues of reproduction.
