Introduction
My grandfather, Enedino Vital, known by our family and neighborhood just like "Mr. Vital", has lived most of his whole life building houses.
It seems that the habit of storing things comes exactly from his job, bricklayer.
Reaching the age of 80, it seems that he wants to be hold to the world keeping most of the objects that pass through his hand.
80 objects. Opening doors, closets and drawers in my home were like discovering an inventory of a lifetime stored in the drawers of my grandfather's memory.
What’s, in fact, vital to our memory? My grandfather's objects made me think about the life tracks that we store and the ones we erase.
* “Vital” in portuguese means “essential”.
