Artist Statement
I photograph my life. For the past few years, I have reversed the lens of my camera so that it lands on myself, family and friends – my relational world. The results portray the joys and failures of intimate relationships, including my relationship with the camera. Like a writer who keeps a diary, I use my camera to not only reflect upon, but also gain perspective on daily life that I find simultaneously fascinating and overwhelming.
Process Statement
I photograph film with my Mamiya 7 and process it digitally.
