Trevor Powers (b. 1985, Burlington, Vermont) is a visual artist currently based in Western Massachusetts. Powers studied photography at The School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, and graduated in 2008. His work is primarily based around the connections, coincidences, routines, and rituals of everyday life. He is interested in documenting time and space in a visual and tangible manner through photographs and artists' books.
He has shown work in group exhibitions throughout the world, and his artists’ books and zines resides in various public and private collections. He is also an avid curator and events organizer, and he has curated exhibitions in Boston, Baltimore, North Carolina, and most recently in Western MA at Flying Object and Fugitive Arts Project Space.
In early 2014, Powers co-founded Papersafe Magazine - a print-publication dedicated to analog photography and relevant discourse, which is distributed worldwide. He currently serves as the publication's editor-in-chief.
In 2015, a solo exhibition of Powers’ recent work will be on display at the ECA+ Gallery in Easthampton, Massachusetts.
