Titus Simoens (b. 1985, Belgium) graduated from the Karel De Grote University in Antwerp in Audiovisual Techniques - Photography. He is a freelance documentary photographer that focuses on the social relationships people have with their environment.
For his thesis “Close to Romania”, a photo reportage where Titus focused on the individual, he got awarded with the exhibition ‘Screenworlds’ at the Flemish parliament among the biggest names of Belgian photography.
In 2009 he traveled across America for two months where he made the video documentary 'Miles Away' and a series of photographs about two young cowboys in Idaho.
Titus 's photographs have been exhibited in Belgium and abroad. Parts of his work has been published in PDN magazine (USA), BBC news(UK) ,GUP magazine (NL), BLINK magazine (Korea), Vrij Nederland (NL) and EXTRA FoMu(BE) among others.
Titus Simoens is currently a freelance photographer based in Ghent, Belgium.
