Introduction
The department of El Chocó has been the scene of terrible violence by guerrilla forces, paramilitaries, and the Colombian military for fifteen years. For eight years, I have been documenting the effects and daily life resistance to the violence, the abuses of human and community rights, and the threats to the rain forest, the communities and the people.
