Sarah Stacke has worked extensively in the USA and sub-Saharan Africa, pursuing personal projects and shooting for a wide variety of US-based and international organizations. Stacke is currently working on "Love From Manenberg," an ongoing documentary project in Cape Town, South Africa and is developing an archival project in collaboration with photographers from Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. She is the curator of "Keep All You Wish: The Photographs of Hugh Mangum," which features turn-of-the-twentieth-century American portraits, and is writing a book about Hugh Mangum’s life and work. In 2012 Stacke received a Master of Arts from Duke University that was tailored to research photographic representations of sub-Saharan Africa and the diaspora. Her photographic work has been exhibited in New York and beyond.
