Dominic Turner is a fine art photographer based in Dublin, Ireland.
His work pays close attention to the process and craft of making a photographic image. Influenced by the 19th century pictorialists, he seeks to revise this approach to have greater relevance in the 21st century. His work frequently uses or visually references early photographic (or alternative) printing processes such as Gum Bichromate, Cyanotype and Platinum/Palladium in addition to contemporary pigment printing techniques.
Thematically, his work frequently explores issues of memory and people's interaction with their environment.
His photographs have been exhibited in Ireland and internationally (solo and group) and is included in many public and private collections both here and abroad. He has also collaborated on projects with composers and theatre practitioners.
Dominic is also a founding director of Exhibit A Studios, a Digital Imaging and Fine Art print studio in Dublin, Ireland where he works with many of Ireland's top exponents of fine art photography.
