Dayna Bartoli is a visual artist from Arizona whose working methods involve photography, printmaking, and bookmaking. She graduated from Arizona State University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in photography. Somewhat juxtaposing her education in the arts, Dayna worked as an Ophthalmic Photographer, photographing retinal blood vessels and circulation patterns. Many of her projects combine science with art, and in her series titled Florafaunal Angiography she incorporates the medical photographs she has taken.
In fall 2013 Dayna began her studies for the Master of Fine Arts program at the Trondheim Academy of Fine Art in Norway. Her photographs have been published in Harper’s Magazine and are held in several private collections. She was named one of Lens Culture’s “21 New and Emerging Photographers” of 2013.
