My Old Kentucky Home

Like many Louisvillians and Kentuckians, the Kentucky Derby is one of the highlights of the year. Even though I don't live there anymore, I've loved going back there for the past two years. I started going in high school, then started to shoot the derby for the CJ when I was in college and while I was freelancing. Even though I love shooting it, experiencing it as a spectator is quite special. This year was great. It was beautiful weather, there were great people, and I even won the Derby race. It was a great weekend to be a Kentuckian.

Even though I was there for fun, I brought along my Fuji and shot for myself. Here some of my favorites from the weekend. Until next year.

The Daily News Cycle

Along The Fence

Like many photographers, I wander when I'm on assignment. Recently, I wandered along the fence of the tennis portion of a Special Olympics event and came across these two photos. It's good to wander. At least for me, it keeps things interesting.
