High ResolutionI’m not sure why I was feeling obsessed with photographing myself lighting a Palo Santo stick on Sunday but I just went with it…I think because the light was beautiful, and fire always fun/dangerous to photograph.

I did some testing up in Portland Or earlier in the year. I worked with a few models from Sports and Lifestyle Unlimited Agency. It was funnnnnn.

I shot a photo essay for Bloomberg BusinessWeek on the Tucson Gem and Mineral show. It was an incredible experience being there and shooting this project. Upon my return to LA, I felt like my brain was going to explode with information about minerals. It was as if I had been abducted by mineral obsessed aliens, brainwashed and returned to earth. The story came out on Friday and brought me back to reality. I couldn’t be more happy with how it turned out. It’s feels especially sweet as I pitched the story idea and carried it out to it’s final product. More images are on my site here. And Bloomberg BW’s link here.
