Artist Statement
To me, photography is a way that lets me express and reveal my mind. The world around me and the world inside my mind inspire me to take pictures. Photography has a certain unpredictability to it which I like to make use of. This can either be done consciously, or unconsciously.
If being a photographer means confronting the world, and when pressing the shutter, the photographer's vision becomes a photograph, then I’m not a photographer. Even so, photography is essential to me.
With the acts of taking photographs and assembling a series, I can see the vision I had in my mind tangibly. You might say that photography is a way for oneself to face the world. And so, photography is also a way that helps me to live for myself.
